06/18/2021 India (International Christian Concern) – “I am moving forward in the ministry with the resources God has given to me through International Christian Concern,” Pastor John Kennedy recently told International Christian Concern (ICC). Pastor Kennedy is one of the thousand evangelists who received a bicycle and 100 Bibles through ICC’s Bibles and Bikes for India Initiative.
After receiving prompting from God, Pastor Kennedy resigned from a good secular job to do ministry. After two years of Bible training, Pastor Kennedy decided to become an evangelist in the rural districts of India’s Telangana state.
“It was very difficult walking from one village to the other to do the outreach work,” Pastor Kennedy told ICC. “I used to get physically tired and faced a lot of health challenges. However, I still found a great deal of satisfaction when people were added to the fellowship.”
Over time, Pastor Kennedy was able to establish several small congregations that met in unfinished sheds constructed for worship gatherings. Pastor Kennedy’s ministry was enhanced when he received the bicycle and 100 Bibles from ICC.
“The bicycle that was provided by ICC has really made things more convenient,” Pastor Kennedy reported. “I am able to visit more villages, and my ministry has multiplied ever since I received the bicycle.”
“The Bibles are also real tools,” Pastor Kennedy continued. “For first-timers, the Bibles are good because many cannot afford to purchase their own Bibles. I use the Bibles from ICC as a gift and an entry point for many first-timers.”
“God is doing wonderful things, and I am very thankful to ICC for giving me these tools to enhance my ministry,” Pastor Kennedy concluded.
Across India, ICC is receiving similar reports from other pastors and evangelists empowered by the Bibles and Bikes for India Initiative. With these simple tools, pastors like Pastor Kennedy are bringing the Gospel message to India’s rural and unreached communities.
