3-Year-Old Orphan Girl Quency and Other Believers Attacked in Hyderabad

4/18/07 India (Persecution Update India) – Pastor Ravi Paul of Bathel church was attacked on Sunday, April 15th, at 10.45am in Kabir Nagar, Moti Nagar, Hyderabad , while the Sunday worship was in progress. Three radicals trespassed into the worship hall and covered the pastor’s face with paper and began to hit him with their fists and some blunt wooden clubs – they also try to strangle him.

Hearing the commotion in the church, people in the slum came to rescue of the pastor.

The neighbors identified them as Vamsi Krishna, Vishal and Thilak. The attackers threatened that very soon they would kill the pastor.

Five believers in the congregation also suffered at the hands of the perpetrators. The perpetrators unleashed a brutal attack on the small congregation of about 20 members. The radicals, numbering around 3, did not even spare a 3-year-old orphan girl Quency. Kiran Paul (26) had a hand fracture, Ravi Paul (26) had an eye injury and others have internal injuries. The GCIC coordinator has visited the victims of terror from the radicalized Hindus in Hyderabad . The GCIC team approached the police officials and extended legal and other assistance to the victims.

On intervention from GCIC, a complaint was lodged at Santhi Nagar police station, and they filed an F.I.R. under section 448,296,427,323,506 of INDIAN PENAL CODE r/w 34 IPC.
