3 Dead after Several Christian Children Poisoned

4/15/2025 Pakistan (International Christian Concern) — Three children have died after unknown individuals gave several children from a Christian community in the Hafizabad district of Punjab, Pakistan, poisoned “sweets” on Monday. At least five other children remain in the hospital, two of them in critical condition.
The children, who range in age from 7 to 10, suddenly became sick after consuming the food near their homes and were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in Hafizabad on Monday evening. Those who died were Danish, 10; Samson, 8; and David, 7. Local police officials are investigating the incident, which occurred in the Qila Sahib Singh area of Hafizabad.
“Two children were received dead, one died during the course of treatment and the other five were managed accordingly and were referred later to the Children Hospital Lahore by the Rescue 1122,” a statement from the district hospital said.
