ICC note- There has been a recent wave of Anti-Conversion Bills introduced in the States of India specifically aimed at the religious minorities. They prohibit any kind of ‘forced conversion’ from one religion to another.

Bill to repeal anti-conversion law in Tamil Nadu introduced

AICC 5/30/2006- Two bills for repealing the controversial Anti-Conversion Law which was enacted by the previous Government of Tamil Nadu were introduced in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on 29 May 2006 without being opposed. [Go to Full Story]
