Taiwanese People Reject China’s Influence and Vote Democratic Progressive Party

01/16/2024 Taiwan (International Christian Concern) – Southeast Asia’s first national election for 2024 is complete, as Taiwan has voted its current government back into power. Leader of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Lai Ching-te, has been outspoken in the past about maintaining a separate identity from China and also rejecting the territorial claims and military pressure from the Chinese Communist Party.
