Christian Delegation Visits Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince

11/03/2018 Saudi Arabia (International Christian Concern) – On Thursday, a delegation of Christians visited Saudi Arabia in response to an invitation from the Crown Prince which was offered over two months ago. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has gone through great lengths this past year to reach out to foreign Christian leaders.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is currently embroiled in scandal which is widely viewed as having compromised the human rights which the Crown Prince alleges to support.
In regards to religious freedom, the Crown Prince has opened the door to some limited dialogue but has not taken any concrete steps to protect the rights of religious minorities. Christianity is extremely restricted in Saudi Arabia, home to Islam’s holy cities. Although Christianity has a history in the Kingdom, Saudis are not allowed to be Christian. The church is therefore pushed deep underground and believers are at great risk if they are exposed.
