07/27/2022 Indonesia (International Christian Concern) – Recently, the National Police Headquarters announced that 13 terrorist suspects had been arrested by an anti-terrorist task force in the Aceh region of Indonesia. Of the 13 suspects, 11 of them belonged to the Al-Qaeda affiliate group Jamaah Islamiyah (JI), and two were from the ISIS affiliate group Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD).

The suspects were arrested because of their alleged involvement in criminal acts of terrorism. One suspect is known to have attended shooting training intended to develop the capabilities of Jaamah Islamiyah (JI) members in war. According to a police spokesperson, “The suspect has also used his house as a JI group facility for weapons training in 2018.”

Another suspect belonging to the Jamaah Islamiyah group is part of the Madina Foundation, one of the charitable foundations that JI deliberately set up as a source of JI funding. The rest of the suspects who were arrested were all accused of various levels of participation with general administration or weapons training for their respective terrorist groups.

Please pray for law enforcement officers in Indonesia who are working to imprison those belonging to terrorist networks.
