07/27/2022 Indonesia (International Christian Concern) – David* and his wife were called seven years ago by God to serve in Kolonodale in the Central Sulawesi Province of Indonesia. The couple works tirelessly to preach the Gospel to children from the Ta’a Wana tribe at their learning center. The only outside help the couple gets is through a YWAM team that comes for a short period of time and from a few volunteers from the nearby theological school.
Over 40 children came to learn about God’s Word at this learning center, but not all had their own copy of the Bible. Some students brought a family member’s Bible, but the majority did not have one.
Seeing a clear need for Bibles, David asked ICC to help fund a project early this year. The project involved sending 40 Bibles to the center, which ICC agreed to support.
After receiving the Bibles, David says, “We are very grateful for the [Bibles] that have been distributed to the children. We have been praying for [Bibles] for a long time]…Thank you, Lord Jesus! Bless ICC.”
A student at the center, Sylvia*, also thanked ICC and included the testimony of her journey to Christ:
“I come from a family that doesn’t know God. My birthplace is Bungku Utara, Central Sulawesi. My sister is the one who brought me to …church to worship. After church, I was taken to [this] learning center. After a few weeks there, I began to know how to worship God, how to pray, and how to build a personal relationship with God. I also learned how to get closer to God. After we received the Bibles that were given to the learning center, we [were] very happy and…got to know God better [by reading] more love letters from God. Thank you!”
Please join ICC in praying for the continued success of the ministry provided by David and his wife and that the Bibles provided will continue to bring present and future students to learn and accept Christ as their Savior.
