04/06/2022 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – Two years ago in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), an Islamic terror group attacked a village, killing eight Christians and wounding many more. We connected with a woman who was paralyzed by a gunshot wound to the back during this attack.
Prior to her injury, she lived an active life, but the effects of the paralysis left her reliant on the assistance of others. In order to restore a bit of her freedom, we provided her with a wheelchair which has been transformative.
She expressed, “After two years, I can move, meet my friends, and go to the market to buy whatever I need. Every time I use my wheelchair and eat the food you gave me, I say a little prayer. I am independent once again.” Thank you for making relief projects like this possible in the DRC and worldwide.
