09/15/2021 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – Today, we’re doing a deep-dive into the topic of persecution in India with ICC’s Regional Manager for South Asia, William Stark. In recent years, he has witnessed a major surge in persecution, through attacks, discrimination, and most recently legal persecution through anti-conversion laws.

Among the most alarming characteristics of the uptick in persecution is the boldness of the attacks. Rather than attacking in secrecy, many Hindu extremists are carrying out attacks in broad daylight and sharing the incidents on social media in order to spread fear within the Christian community.

With the tacit approval of the authorities, the extremists continue to harass Christians with little accountability for their actions. Please join us in prayer for our brothers and sisters in India and stay tuned for Part 2 of the conversation later this week.
