ICC Covid-19 Aid “Only Means of Survival” for Pastor in Northeast India

09/15/2021 India (International Christian Concern) –“I was down and inactive due to fractures in my both legs,” Pastor Hebel Rabha, a Church planter in the Northeastern state of Assam, recently told ICC. “I’m so thankful for the timely assistance from ICC. The assistance of food relief was the only means of survival for me and my family during Corona.”

Two months ago, Hebel had fractured both of legs in an accident where he fell from a bridge while returning from ministry. While he had previously worked odd jobs to provide for his family, the accident, paired with a lack of Church tithes due to Covid-19, made it impossible to earn an income.

I was in a desperate situation, worried whether I would be able to provide food for me and my family,” he told ICC. “God was so gracious. I have received the food relief kit…this is the second time that I have received this help from ICC.

Hebel continued, “We as a family trusted God for food provisions for our family in helpless situations in our lives. When we heard help coming from the ICC ministry, we were so happy and thankful to ICC and God. Because of this help we could survive in need and rest at home.”

Pastor Hebel is one of hundreds of Church planters ICC served with the emergency food relief kits, which provided for rural Church planters during Covid-19, as they were unable to get the offerings and tithes from their congregations.

“We as family, we love you and always pray for your ministry. For the extending of His kingdom. Thank you, ICC for your support to our family. Thank you so much.”
