09/14/2021 Nigeria (International Christian Concern) – According to Punch News Nigeria, Reverend Silas Yakubu Ali of the Evangelical Church of Winning All in Zango-Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, was murdered on Saturday by “unknown assailants”.
“Reverend Ali departed for Kafanchan on Saturday, and was not heard from until his corpse was found by a search party early on Sunday at Kibori community, near Asha-Awuce, where he was apparently attacked and macheted to death,” said the news source.
The International Society for Civil Liberties & the Rule of Law (Intersociety), a nonprofit based out of Nigeria, released a report in August stating that that 43,000 Christians were killed by Nigerian Islamic radicals in the last 12 years. 18,500 Christians have permanently disappeared, 17,500 churches have been attacked, 10 million Christians have been uprooted and about 2,000 Christian schools have been attacked.
“The atrocities of the Jihadists majorly directed at Christians and their properties including homes, worship and learning centers; ancestral lands, farmlands, forests and bushes include: massacres, killings, mutilations, slitting of throats and wombs, beheadings, torture, maiming, abductions, hostage-taking, rape, girl-child defilements, forced marriages, disappearances, extortions, forceful conversions and destruction or burning of homes and sacred worship and learning centers as well as forceful occupation of farmlands, destruction and forceful harvesting of farm crops and other internationally prohibited acts,” read the report.
