08/24/2021 Pakistan (International Christian Concern) – On August 9, 2021, 16-year-old Muqdus Nadeem was kidnapped at gunpoint while at her home in the village of Peer Mehal in Pakistan’s Punjab province.
According to the FIR # 779/21, registered with the police station, Nadeem, the victim’s father, narrated the incident. He said, “On the incident day at around 11:00 am Muhammad Azeem, a Muslim, along with five other unidentified men intruded into my house with guns, beat and abused my two daughters and kidnapped one of them.”
“My two daughters including Muqadas (16) and Mehwish (12) were alone at home. The Muslim men beat both of my daughters and kidnapped Muqadas by dragging her in the street.”
“The neighbors after listening to the cries of the girls tried to chase the kidnappers and save the girls, however, they had no courage after the kidnappers aired bullets.”
Nadeem, a sanitary worker, was left discouraged when police refused to register the FIR against the kidnappers. However, after several attempts, police were forced to file the report seven days later.
“I am hopeless and helpless in this situation. I fear I might lose my wife as she is continuously in a trauma state and is missing Muqada. I beg the authorities to help bring my daughter back.”
