International Christian Concern a Partner in Inaugural International Religious Freedom Summit in D.C.
07/13/2021 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – International Christian Concern (ICC) joins 70 organizations as a partner in the first inaugural International Religious Freedom (IRF) Summit on July 13-15, 2021 in Washington, D.C. at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. The Summit was created to increase public awareness and political strength for the IRF movement. The event is co-chaired by former Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback and Katrina Lantos Swett, president of the Lantos Foundation for Human Rights, and more than 30 countries are participating.
“We believe our partnership in the first ever IRF Summit is important to the ever-changing landscape of religious persecution,” said ICC’s president, Jeff King. “ICC exists to bandage the wounds of the persecuted and build the Church in the toughest parts of the world through our in-country staff across the globe and D.C. team of expert analysts. The IRF Summit brings together those of us who are fighting for, and praying for, religious freedoms.”
King has served as president of ICC for nearly two decades. He will lead a Summit session on Wednesday, July 14 at 1:45 p.m. (ET) on “India and the Rising Tide of Persecution.” The session will be livestreamed on ICC’s Facebook page. King is available to speak on any of the topics below, or others by request:
- IRF and the importance of the Summit
- IRF issues on the horizon from the perspective of a leader in defending, advocating for, and assisting persecuted Christians around the world
- IRF issues from ICC’s international network of indigenous staff with access to real-time information and forecasting
- IRF topics from ICC’s D.C. team of unmatched experts’ analysis on worldwide religious persecution
