06/28/2021 United States (International Christian Concern) – International Christian Concern (ICC) has recently partnered with the Orthodox Public Affairs Committee (OPAC) to collaborate on serving persecuted Christians around the world. With a shared mission of fighting against persecutors around the world, ICC and OPAC plan to work together on advocacy initiatives engaging government leaders on long-term solutions and on assistance programs aimed at helping Christians suffering in persecuting countries.

Commenting on the partnership, ICC Advocacy Associate, Andrew Crane stated, “ICC is excited to partner with OPAC in advocating for the rights of the persecuted Church around the world. We look forward to engaging U.S. policymakers as a united front to educate them on persecution and provide them with the tools to promote international religious freedom.

Claire Evans, ICC’s Regional Manager added, “We are so encouraged by OPAC and their passion to help persecuted Christians worldwide. There are so many religious freedom challenges for the church throughout the world, but pursuing solutions through ecumenical partnerships and dialogue is key. We are grateful for OPAC’s leadership on this. Together we will work to strengthen our shared commitment towards religious freedom and in providing support for the persecuted Church, whether that be through advocacy or assistance.”

OPAC Chairman, George Gigicos said, “International Christian Concern is a perfect partner for OPAC, and we are honored to collaborate with them.  Our goals and objectives are aligned, and we share the same vision. Our dialogue with ICC has been well-timed, as we are both deeply concerned over religious liberty issues in Turkey and many other places around the world.  We bring a special perspective because of our Orthodox Faith; ICC brings an extensive network and reach. We look forward to a fruitful ministry of bringing these issues to light, where the truth lives.”
