06/11/2021 India (International Christian Concern) – India’s second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has devastated the country, with reported death rates reaching up to 4,000 per day and actual numbers likely to be ten times higher. As is the case in most disasters, the poor and most vulnerable of India’s population have taken the brunt of the impact from this deadly second surge.

Last month, International Christian Concern (ICC) launched an initiative to bring relief to Christian communities impacted by COVID-19 and the resulting lockdowns. Through the generous gifts of our donors, ICC has already provided relief to thousands in India struggling to survive and bring the light of Christ to our brothers and sisters suffering in darkness.

To date, ICC has raised over $100,000 in relief. As ICC continues to raise funds, we are also busy providing aid to those in desperate need. So far, immediate relief has been provided to 1,169 families consisting of 5,845 individuals. The aid has been distributed in 18 of India’s 29 states.

ICC is committed to continuing to serve the needs of India’s Christian community. Food, medical assistance, clothing, and other emergency aid has saved hundreds and brought healing to Christ’s children across the globe. Thank you for your continued support and please persist in praying for the persecuted church.
