[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”123613″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]04/23/2021 United States (International Christian Concern) – After an impactful mission trip to her home country of India, Akshaya James came back to the states and began to ask God how she could support her persecuted brothers and sisters around the world.
“My spirit became conflicted and disturbed as I encountered the realities of other Christ-followers whose lives were in every way more complicated than my own privileged life,” James said.
Her prayers led her to begin a club on her college campus to raise awareness about the persecuted church.
“Nevertheless, the persecuted Church is a strange topic in American Church culture because we are not conscientious of what happens beyond our own small church homes,” James said. “Even for those who do know about the persecuted, it’s difficult to know how to get involved in their lives.”
