03/26/2021 Nigeria (International Christian Concern) – Military sources have informed Sahara Reporters of a new alliance between Boko Haram and Fulani Militants: “Terrorists collect one cow for every 40 cows as taxes; issue tags and receipts to the herdsmen. It is becoming an organized process.”

The coalition, currently known to be occupying parts of Yobe State in northeastern Nigeria, consists of Boko Haram militants training Fulani fighters, including young boys, while providing firearms and preparing for the next planned attack. The systematic alliance is cause for great concern as Islamic extremism continues to spread throughout Africa. While many have tried to portray Fulani violence as back-and-forth exchanges between herders and farmers with no real religious motives, an alliance with Boko Haram further reveals the extremist agenda behind their attacks.

The Fulani Militia is the fourth deadliest terror group in the world and has surpassed Boko Haram as the greatest threat to Nigerian Christians. “They adopt a comparable strategy to Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province and demonstrate a clear intent to target Christians and potent symbols of Christian identity,” states the United Kingdom’s All-Party Parliamentary Group. Please pray for all to be protected from the atrocities that these terrorist groups are hoping to commit, as well as for the souls of those who persecute the church, that all will repent and find salvation in Christ.
