11/12/2020 Washington, D.C. (International Christian Concern) – As you read on Monday, Iraqi Christian cities are reviving and rebuilding from the ashes of ISIS in the Nineveh Plains. Six years later, one community of 10 families requested the help of International Christian Concern (ICC) to build an independent well.

ICC prayerfully partnered with community leaders and began construction in a strategic location, away from other reconstruction efforts have focused yet was also located in an area that was once a busy corner of the city. Due to the coronavirus lockdowns in Iraq, transportation of building equipment did not arrive until weeks later.

However, ICC began digging in no time. At the start of the project, the engineer used plastic piping during the dig. The well collapsed 30 ft. underground, and metal piping replaced and protected the well’s integrity until the team finally discovered water.

This area used to have water twice a week, now we have a source, and that helps us to avoid buying water,” one family said. Soon after, more families joined the community after the discovery improved their ability to thrive again.

Discover the incredible impact because of this well in Well of Life: Part 3 on Sunday.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1604950588798{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]
