(International Christian Concern) – In 2019, Zainabu was chased out of her home by her Muslim husband after she told him that she had become a Christian and that their children were interested in her newfound faith. Although she has found a small house to live in with the children, she has no means of supporting her family.
Her relatives have told her that they will help her, but only if she returns to Islam. During this time of transition, ICC stepped in to provide Zainabu with food aid, clothing, household items, and rent support.
She expressed, “We do not have the right words to say how grateful we are for receiving this help. Today we have seen the hand of the Lord. Now a single mother, I was wondering about how to make ends meet for my family, from food to clothing.”
She continued, “It has been painful for us, but we are not turning back. We shall continue serving Christ and praying that my husband will also come to put his trust in Him. Surely the Lord’s goodness and mercy shall follow us forever.”
