Seeds of Hope for a Family in Egypt

10/12/2020 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – According to ICC’s research, in the hardest hit areas of Egypt where we serve, 80% of Christians lost their employment overnight due to COVID-19 lockdowns. By comparison, Egypt’s entire unemployment rate was only 9.2% in April.

Prior to the pandemic, Raoof worked as a construction worker. However, since the nation’s building sector shut down, he has been out of work.

Yet, the family still needs to put food on the table. ICC assisted Raoof and his family by providing him with a seed grinder which he can use to earn an income once again. Many locals grind up various grain products to feed their livestock, making this a reliable and sustainable business during these uncertain times.
