Having been beaten with rods and stones, seven of the Christians were seriously injured and required hospitalization.

Following this attack, the three Christian families have since fled their village to seek refuge elsewhere. The villagers threatened the Christians, warning them not to cultivate their land. As a result, the families were left without the ability to provide for themselves.

While they attempt to settle the matter with the authorities, ICC provided them with food assistance. The food packages contain basic food staples, such as rice and cooking oil.

One of the family members expressed, โ€œWe have been struggling for more than a month now. No one came to our aid, but the ration I received from ICC is great help for us as a family. Thanks for your care; the kindยญness shown to us is something that we never thought of. Praise God that God has led you to us and we are happy to know that you pray for us.โ€
