ICC Provides Food Aid for Mob Victims

06/08/2020 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – In early 2020, a mob of Hindu extremists wreaked havoc on six Christian homes in their village in India. The mob broke down doors, smashed windows, and destroyed countless household items in the villagers’ homes. The attackers then turned their attention to the Christians themselves, beating them black and blue. As a result, four Christian women were severely injured and required hospitalization.

Following this traumatic event, ICC stepped in to provide food aid for the six affected families. In addition to lifting the financial burden on these families, the food packages will allow them to direct their attention toward addressing this incident with the authorities without worrying where their next meal will come from.

One beneficiary said, “Everything looked hopeless when our houses were ransacked and we were brutally beaten up…The practical help from ICC was hope in the midst of hopelessness.” Another expressed, “We have seen how God takes care of us during this time, and have experienced God’s providence… It is an affirmation that God cares and He looks after His children.”
