Philippine’s Christians Commit to Justice

11/17/2019 Philippines (International Christian Concern) – Upon the conclusion of Basic Ecclesial Communities gathering, a community of Christians living in the Philippines, Bishop Jose Cabantan declared a commitment to justice and environmental protection. Bishop Jose continued on, encouraging the congregation to share the Gospel in each of their communities, specifically locals and young Filipinos.

The BEC represents communities of believers who are part of the broader Catholic Church. Around 700 Christians gathered for the conference, devoting themselves to study of the word.

The bishops call to the believers to care about justice, renews the spirit to care for their neighbors of all religions and stand alongside those who are facing injustice of all kinds.
