Event to Review Global Religious Freedom Conditions and the Impact of USCIRF
04/09/2019 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – International Christian Concern (ICC) is hosting The Global Status of Religious Freedom: USCIRF Needed Now More Than Ever, an event to brief Capitol Hill staff on the current climate of international religious freedom, and thereby reinforce the mission, discuss the work, and highlight the achievements of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF). USCIRF is up for reauthorization this year and the commission’s valuable advocacy and research are needed now more than ever.
Featured speakers at the event will include two USCIRF commissioners, Gayle Manchin and Gary Bauer; President of International Christian Concern, Jeff King; and Co-Chair of the International Religious Freedom Roundtable, Greg Mitchell. There will also be a panel to discuss international religious persecution from a variety of regions and perspectives. Panelists include Ann Buwalda from Jubilee Campaign, Thang Nguyen from BPSOS, Sue Taylor from the Church of Scientology, and Matias Perttula from International Christian Concern.
