03/01/2019 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – Ra’afat’s story is sadly common among Christians affected by the violence that swept across Iraq in recent years. Years ago, as tensions in Iraq gradually began to build, he fled to Qaraqosh to pursue his license to operate an internet tower. However, when ISIS later invaded, he was forced to flee again. After eventually returning to Qaraqosh following the city’s liberation, Ra’afat sought to start up his own small business.
With the help of generous donors, ICC provided the tools to make this internet tower small business possible. Ra’afat shared, “You can’t imagine how that tower filled my day…I had my first customer at the first day and tomorrow there are three more.”
