11/11/2018 Cameroon (International Christian Concern) – At a small Christian school in Nkwen Village, Cameroon, 79 children and three teachers have been abducted.

The abductors posted a video of themselves on social media with the children, all between the ages of 11-17, calling themselves the “Amba Boys” and sharing their ransom demands. The abduction has been linked to the struggle for an independent state in Cameroon’s Anglophone South West and North West regions. In the video released, the abductors said they will not release the children until the “Ambazonia”, a new independent state, is created.

The governor of the North West Region, Mr. Deben Tchoffo gave a statement saying “it is rather unfortunate that this is happening, that 79 of our children and three of their staff can be picked up by terrorists. We have asked our military to do everything and bring back the kids alive.”

Christians are urging people to pray that the abductors will release the children after their demands are fulfilled.
