ICC Note: Yesterday a church in Pakistan, A Gospel Jesus Mission Ministry Church, was burned down by unknown suspects. The pastor reported it to the police and they are currently undergoing an investigation.
09/26/2018 Pakistan (Pakistan Christian Today) – Shahdara: September 25, 2018. (PCP) A Gospel Jesus Mission Ministry Church under construction on a small plot in Paracha Colony Shahdara was set on fire by unknown culprits.
City of Shahdara is few kilometers from Lahore or can be called as twin city which is capital of Punjab province where Christians are second biggest population after Muslims amounting in millions.
Every Sunday Pastor offers Sunday service in morning which is attended by congregation of Gospel Ministry. The Church is under construction with left boundary of 20 feet high on which right side are Christians homes. At front gate of the church is 8 feet and it was locked when culprits set it on fire.
The forensics team start-up their investigation after Shahdara town police quickly responded and started inquiries.
Pastor Yousaf submitted his application in Shahdara town police station along with Pastor Fareed Anthony and Hizkyal Bhati. In Paracha Colony Christians are living in many streets not at one place in this town but 7 different churches.
