ICC Note: Catholic churches in China are required to present a five-year plan to the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association and the Bishops’ Conference of the Catholic Church in China. This plan is a non-religious document that should detail the influence of Chinese culture that has been commissioned by Xi Jinping in the church.
8/24/2018 China (Herald Malaysia) – By the end of August, all the dioceses of China have to present a five-year plan (2018-2022) to the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association (CCPA) and the Bishops’ Conference of the Catholic Church in China (BCCCC) on how they can implement the sinicisation, commissioned by Xi Jinping.
For this reason, the CCPA and the BCCCC have drafted a national ”Five-Year Plan,” which serves as a model and inspiration “to advance the Catholic Church’s accession to China towards the sinicisation.”
The National Five-Year Plan augments the physical control over members of the Church (bishops, priests, laity), also control over culture, theology, social doctrine, art, architecture, liturgy. This Plan is a political and non-religious document.
