ICC Note: Vatican official says that the Holy See will not sign agreement with China anytime soon. Pope Francis is in constant contact with his collaborators on Chinese issues and is keeping an eye on ongoing talks.
03/29/2018 China (Asia News) – There is “no imminent agreement” between the Holy See and China, said Greg Burke, director of the Holy See Press Office, responding to a reporter’s question.
“I can say that that the signing of an agreement between the Holy See and the People’s Republic of China is not imminent,” Burke said.
“I would also like to stress that the Holy Father Francis remains in constant contact with his collaborators on Chinese issues and follows the progress of ongoing talks.”
