North Korea Uses Fake Churches to cover up abuse of Christians
North Korea is already on the top list of dangerous places for Christians to live. However, the regime is using similar tactics like China to portrait a false image on the persecution of Christians. Unfortunately, many do actually believe this lie and do not advocate for the brutality Christians experience in North Korea.
1/31/2018 North Korea (Christian Daily) – A publication has exposed several photos of “fake churches” in North Korea that had actors pretending to pray in a bid to cover up the reclusive regime’s abusive treatment of Christians and other human rights violations.
In a report, Express.co.uk said North Korea was using photos of “show churches” in an attempt to cover up its human rights record. A spokeswoman for Christian persecution watchdog Open Doors told the publication that the sham churches only served to show foreign visitors that the reclusive regime upholds religious freedom.
