The 5 countries where Christians face horrible persecution

China and North Korea remain the worst offenders of religious freedom in the world. Christian persecution in North Korea has reached its own level since people in North Korea can simply get executed and imprisoned for having connections with Christians. The persecution of Christians in China has increased in the last few years not only because of the discrimination from non-Christians, but also because of the torture and imprisonment of behalf of the government. Considering that China and North Korea account for almost 20 percent of the world population, it is imperative for the International Community to put more pressure on these countries in allowing more religious freedom.  

 

10/26/2017 Malaysia (Christian Today) –Ahead of international religious freedom day tomorrow, a cross-party group of MPs has released a report showing that almost 85 per cent of the world’s population are linked to a faith and more than 80 per cent live in countries with ‘high’ or ‘very high’ levels of hostilities towards certain beliefs. Persecution appears to be increasing globally.
