Austria is among one of the first nations to formally recognize ISIS atrocities against Christians as genocide. Austria committed to complete three steps out of the seven-step plan it developed to aid refugees. At least 50% of Christians have fled Iraq and Syria since 2011. For many Christians, violence was the tipping point in their decision to leave.
