Six Christian women were taken into custody in China for holding a Bible study. Authorities posted a notice that they were meeting illegally but the church members refused to stop meeting. Then officials interrupted the Bible study on January 10th and began beating them and confiscating church property. Their families have yet to receive detention notices. Under the leadership of Jinping, China has seen a massive crackdown on Christianity. 
1/20/2017 China (China Aid) – Officials interrupted a Bible study in China’s central Hubei province on Jan. 10, taking six Christian women into police custody and confiscating church property.
Officers from the local religious affairs, public security, and urban management bureaus broke into a church at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 10 and accused the people gathered there for a Bible study of holding illegal religious meetings.
