ICC Note: Pakistani are demanding action from the government to combat discrimination and mistreatment of students based on their religion if they are not Muslim. The Pakistan Minorities Teachers Association (PMTA) wrote a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan, asking investigate the rampant problem. They claim that public institutions are doing this deliberately to try to convert non-Muslim students, who already have to study Islamic beliefs as part of their school curriculum.

07/24/2016, Punjab, Pakistan (Christians in Pakistan) – Government of Punjab responds to a letter written by Pakistan Minorities Teacher’s Association, calling upon Chief Justice of Pakistan to look into the victimization of non-Muslim students. In a letter dated April 22, 2016- Professor Anjum James Paul wrote to the CJP demanding action against the religion-based victimization of non-Muslim students.
