When ISIS swept into central Iraq in June 2014, more than 150,000 Christians were driven from their homes. Now they have been displaced across Iraq and many still living in temporary shelters are still struggling just to survive.
For an elderly couple like Youssef and Mariam not having a wheel chair makes it almost impossible to get around. ICC continues to partner with local churches and organizations, like Hammurabi Human Rights Organization, to help meet some of these needs and to remind Christians in Iraq that they have not been forgotten.
