For the more than 3 million people across Iraq who’ve been driven from their homes, the question of where that day’s food will come from is a near constant question. With your help, ICC and its partners in Iraq have empowered one family to not only make their own bread, but to start a business selling it to others.
A small grant to purchase an oven, propane, and flour was all that these girls needed to get their business going. They have set up a subscription system to take orders from neighbors. They keep their costs low and are able to make a small profit.
Neighbors get fresh bread delivered to their door and the sisters get meaningful work that allows them to support their families as they try to make a fresh start after having lost so much.
