Mariam’s husband had gone to Libya to work and earn an income for his young family. While trying to return home his car was stopped by Islamic extremists. He was taken and no word has been heard from him since. It is believed that he suffered the same fate as other Christians have in Libya.

ICC has been working to care for his family both spiritually, emotionally, and financially. Mariam is now back living with her parents who are helping her to care for her young son. And with ICC’s help, they’ve now opened a small clothing store in the ground floor of their home. Mariam is able to start selling clothing in her village and with that income help to care for her family and start taking the small steps to start recovering in her new life.
