Thanks to his strong support in the north, Retired General Muhammadu Buhari defeated incumbent Goodluck Jonathan in Nigeria’s March 28 presidential election.
Troy Augustine, regional manager of Africa for the Christian watchdog groupInternational Christian Concern, says believers in Nigeria have been under the crosshairs of persecution for a long time, but ironically some Christians cast their vote for the Muslim candidate.
