In the city of Peshawar, Pakistan on September 22, 2013, two suicide bombers attacked the congregation following the Sunday service just outside of the church. In the single most violent attack against Christians in Pakistan, at least 98 believers were murdered. Members of ICC staff had the privilege to attend a memorial service in which martyrs were honored and hope was declared for the persecuted church around the world.
