Fellowship of Christian Traditional Rulers of Nigeria have come together in a call to prayer for the more than 240 schoolgirls that remain in Boko Haram’s captivity following their mass-abduction from Chibok Village, a predominantly Christian town, more than 90 days ago. Boko Haram, or “Western education is forbidden,” is a radical Islamic insurgency that has plagued Nigeria’s Christians, moderate Muslims, educators, students, and military and law-enforcement personnel for years. 07/13/2014 Nigeria (Channels) – As the call for the release of over 200 hundred abducted school girls in Chibok on 14th April intensifies,the Traditional Rulers across the Country under the aegis of Fellowship of Christian Traditional Rulers of Nigeria have equally added their voice for the release of the abducted girls.
The School girls have been in captivity for eighty eight days in the camp of Boko Haram.
They appealed to Nigerians not to be wary in their intercessory prayers for the nation especially at a time like this when Nigeria is facing enormous security challenges.
