Three Christians, a father, mother, and 14-year-old daughter were murdered in the privacy of their own home last night. The attack, allegedly perpetrated by radical Muslims, led neighbors and friends to carry the bodies to a local government office in demand of a return in security to the region. Bangui, the nation’s capital city, has suffered immense bloodshed throughout the year, including the massacre of of more than 200 innocents in a predominantly Christian neighborhood by Chadian security forces in March.
04/16/2014 Central African Republic (APA) – Three Christians have been killed in gunfire in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic, with Muslims denying involvement in the attack, APA reports quoting AA.
“We heard gunfire overnight but we did not dare leave our house to see what happened,” a resident told Anadolu Agency, requesting anonymity.
According to neighbors, a man, a woman and their 14-year-old daughter were found dead in their house in Bazanga district in Bangui.
Following the killing, angry residents carried the dead bodies to the premier’s office to demand the government restore security.
“The government has done nothing to restore security to the country,” one of the demonstrators told AA.
