“Please Pray that the Lord Will Strengthen Us in Our Faith”

ICC staff recently visited pastor Tim in Nigeria. The retired pastor told us that his church came under attacks from their Muslim neighbors. The pastor is still devastated by the attacks. He said many Christians have now left the area due to the attacks. He is concerned about future attacks, saying, “If the opportunities arise, the Muslims could attack us.” But the pastor is very clear about the faithfulness of Christians who are coming under pressure from Muslim attackers: “No matter what happens, we will continue worshipping the Lord.” When I asked him how Christians around the world could pray for his community, the pastor said, “Please pray that the Lord will strengthen us in our faith.”
