Rose is a Christian widow who lost her husband in a Muslim mob attacks in Nigeria. Her husband was a pastor and they were starting a church when he was killed. Rose and her three children have been comforted and strengthened by the Holy Spirit. When we met her in Nigeria and asked her how she feels concerning Muslims who killed her husband, Rose said:
“I decided not to have any particular feelings towards them then and now. [Instead] I decided to stay in the path of forgiveness. I decided to choose the difficult path-path of the Lord that I still relate with Muslims out of my free will. I work with them but I don’t trust them. There is no bitterness or angry in my heart towards them. I don’t look for opportunities to take revenge. I don’t encourage my children to have such feelings [of revenge]. We decided to trust God. He knows everything. He can handle everything.”
ICC provided financial assistance to Rose and her family. Please keep the family in your prayers.
