Musa Bello’s family is one of the Christian families whose house was burned to the ground. Here is the picture of Musa with his razed house. ICC provided him with financial assistance.
On the morning of April 18 last year, a group of Muslims entered a Christian neighborhood of Soba, armed with machetes and gasoline. They set homes on fire and attacked the villagers. Musa, 61, his wife, and their seven children fled their home. When they reached a neighboring village, a group of Muslims living there provided food and shelter for three days. Musa was touched by the generosity of the Muslims who provided him and his family with basic needs. When they returned back home, all of their belongings were gone. Musa’s wife died shortly after due to hypertension.
