05/07/2012 Indonesia (The Jakarta Globe) – A dozen terrorist suspects reportedly connected to the suicide bombing of a church in Solo, Central Java have been arrested by anti-terrorism officers across Indonesia in the past week, the National Police said in Jakarta on Monday.
Police arrested seven suspected terrorists in Central Jakarta on May 3, four in North Sumatra on May 4 and another in South Sumatra on May 5, National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Saud Usman Nasution said.
“We’ve seized firearms and other weapons, but we can’t share anything more because we’re still developing the cases,” Saud said.
But an anonymous member of the anti-terrorism unit Detachment 88 said that the arrests were connected to the suicide bombing of a church in Solo, last September.
That attacked injured 11 people and killed Pino “Hayat” Damayanto, the alleged suicide bomber.
