Outside school yards, five and six-year-olds work in the trash infested streets, compiling garbage by night while their parents shift through it during the day. But, behind concrete walls, ICC-supported schools open up into a spacious courtyard where children laugh and sing and play.
In partnership with a local organization, ICC is giving Egypt’s poorest children a Christian education and empowering them to change their communities. In this video, children from Cairo’s garbage slums recite Psalms 113 in Arabic.
