Giving hope to persecuted Christians since 1995
Select Page

Pray for the persecuted church in Bhutan. About two-thirds to three-fourths of the Bhutan population practice different disciplines of Buddhism while about one-fourth of the population is Hindu. There are only about 3,000 Christians in this country. Bhutan Christians are able to practice their faith but are discouraged against open worship. Christian sanctuaries are scarce, proselytizing to Muslims is prohibited, and there are restrictions on celebrating certain non-Buddhist holidays. There have even been reports of discrimination and harassment towards Christians by the government, local authorities, and non-Christian citizens. Our brothers and sisters in Bhutan need our prayers as they continue to worship God in the face of persecution.
