Pastor Shi Enhao Unexpectedly Released from a Chinese Labor Camp

We are thanking God after recently receiving news that Pastor Shi Enhao, the deputy director of the Chinese House Church Alliance, unexpectedly returned home 18 months early from a Chinese labor camp. After Pastor Enhao (left) was detained and sentenced last year for his activities with the Chinese underground church, ICC began providing monthly support to his family and drawing attention to his case by posting news reports related to Pastor Enhao on the ICC website. Chinese officials did not provide an explanation for his release, saying only that his case needed “further investigation”. Government pressure on Pastor Enhao’s church is still ongoing, but we thank God that he has been released and is now at home with his wife and children.
