Pakistan MP Sherry Rehman On Fears For Her Safety

ICC Note

Sherry Rehman is a Pakistani member of parliament who fought for repeal of Pakistan’s blasphemy law. She has been threatened by Islamic radicals for opposing the law. The law has been used by Muslims to persecute Christians in Pakistan. Two Pakistani politicians have been killed recently for opposing the law.

04/06/2011 Pakistan (BBC News)-A Pakistani politician who dropped her attempt to amend the country’s controversial blasphemy laws has been speaking to the BBC about her concerns for her safety.
